New Argos antenna on Easter Island!

The Argos real-time antenna network continues to grow. In August, our colleagues travelled to Easter Island, Chile, in the South Pacific, to install a brand new Argos antenna. This much-awaited antenna will improve coverage in the South Pacific. Enhancing Argos data timeliness, particularly in the southern hemisphere, is a priority for CLS. In 2016, we will update the antenna in Kourou, French Guiana, adding yet another NOAA/MetOP/SARAL compatible antenna to our network of 60+ ground stations.
