Managing Argos data in Movebank

Movebank help animal tracking researchers to manage, share, protect, analyze, and archive their data. Movebank is an international project used by research and conservation groups around the world. Movebank users retain full ownership of their data and can choose whether or not to make their data available with collaborators or the public. Features include :

• Live feeds to Argos data with e-mail notifications
• Data filters, including the Douglas Argos Filter
• The Env-DATA Track Annotation Service, to link tracking data to environmental information from global weather models and remote sensing datasets
• The R package ‘move’, allowing data access directly from Movebank for visualization and analysis in R
• The Movebank Data Repository, to formally publish data and receive a DOI
• Code for embedding maps of your tracking data on your own website
