Processing centers

Processing centers receive raw Argos data extracted from the satellite datasets relayed by the ground stations. They then locate the transmitters and process the sensor data.

The main processing centers in France and the USA process all data received from the receiving stations. The data are made available to users and are also archived for up to six months. Each center can back up the other in the event of a failure.

The processing centers have demonstrated excellent service availability with continuous operations over the past two decades.
